About

Guiry’s Angler's Bar is an old fashioned pub situated in the small town of Foxford, overlooking the world-famous river Moy.

We are renowned for a GREAT pint of Guinness and in 2018, we were awarded the Best Pub in the West and in 2019 Best Bar in Ireland by The Irish Hospitality Awards.

It is a family-owned business and has been run by Martha & Pat Guiry since 1982. We are open 7 days a week from 10:30 am.

Guirys Bar is very passionate about supporting the local community. Throughout the years we have immersed ourselves in local activities such as the annual Goat Fair, The Feile Cheoil, The Traditional St Patricks Day Parade, Coffee Mornings, The Drama Society, Local Sporting Clubs amongst many more.

The bar itself supports the ever passionate Fishing Community by offering Fishing Licenses, Fishing Tackle, State Licenses and a warm, friendly place to enjoy a few drinks and wonderful company after a day's fishing.

Pat, Martha and family have invested their own time into promoting the local community by creating and maintaining the Foxford Website - VisitFoxford.com

Guirys Bar has featured in numerous Media Publications such as Joe.ie, Daily Edge, Lovin Dublin amongst many more.

We have also had the pleasure of welcoming many famous characters to the pub such as Jack Charlton, Derek Davis, Emlyn Hughes, Joe Duffy, Joe Brolly and even the Ryder Cup.

The attention to detail is what Guirys Bar represents. A family, friendly environment with a warm welcome, open fire, chocolate digestives with every cup of tea, Tayto crisps, coke with straws and our ever famous shamrock on the pint of Guinness.

We look forward to welcoming you to our bar.
